Upon arrival at Kumta railway station we will proceed by Anubhav's own A.C mini coach to Green World Resort. After resting for a while in the evening we will visit Banvasi (22 km) an ancient capital of Karnataka which is also considered as Dakshin Kashi. Here we will see Madhukeshwara Temple, Monolith Asthana Mantapa and Triloka Mantapa. Dinner and night stay at Sirsi.
Today we will visit the Rock Utsav. Here the idea of typical village life in Karnataka is portrayed through rock formations and artistically carved statues. Spread over a land of 40 acres, this is also a proposed sight for India’s first ‘Folk University’. Return back to resort for Lunch. Evening, visit Sahastralinga (35 km). This place is surrounded by lush green forest and has 1000 Shivalinga’s carved in the river bed.
After breakfast, we will proceed to Yana which has huge structures of Bhasma. These are unusual rock formations, also known for being a holy place of Lord Shiva and is still untouched by regular tourists (Yana is possible only after monsoon). Lunch and rest for some time at resort. Evening, visit to Marikamba Temple (20 km) followed by shopping at Sirsi. Dinner and night stay at Sirsi.
After breakfast visit Unchelli Fall, one of the biggest tourist attractions near Sirsi. The waterfall has a 116-meter drop and offers spectacular views at all times of the year (Unchelli Fall is possible after October). Lunch at the resort & Evening free time for relaxation
In the morning after breakfast check out from the resort, descend to Murdeshwara. On the way, we will visit the Gokarna Mahabaleshwara temple, and later proceed to Honnavar. After lunch, we will head to Idgunjee to see the famous Ganesh temple and reach Murdeshwara by early evening, which is considered the Kanyakumari of Karnataka. We will be welcomed by the famous tall Shiva idol which sits right adjacent to our hotel. Night stay at Murudeshwar.
After breakfast, we will visit Mahaganpati and Mahamaya Temple as well as Chitrapur Saraswat Matt at Shirali. We will return to Murdeshwara for lunch and after some rest enjoy the sunset from Baindur (35 km). The evening can be enjoyed on the Someshwar beach before we head back to the hotel in Murdeshwara.
Morning free time at Murdeshwara beach. Lunch and afternoon rest at Murdeshwara. In the evening we depart for Murdeshwara railway station. Our return journey is by Matsyagandha Exp. 12620 UP departing at 5.10 p.m. / 12134 MAJN CSMT SF SPL departing at 5.00 p.m. from Kumta station
