With your chosen mode of transport either by flight or by train you will arrive in Cochin and check in our Hotel in the centre.
In the morning depart for Munnar and on the way visit the birth place of Adi Shankaracharya ,Kaladi. The drive to Munnar will introduce you to the tea plantations and will pass through random waterfalls as this is the month to have them. On arrival in our hotel we will rest a little and then in the evening go out in the town for a walk.
Today we will spend sightseeing Munnar and its surroundings. The Tea Museum is an interesting place to visit and we will start our day with this. We will then drive to the Matupetty Dam and enjoy a view from there, on the way we would also visit the Echo Point. Evening is free to relax back in the town of Munnar.
In the morning depart from Munnar and descend a little on the most beautiful drive in Kerala. The drive will take us through tea plantations and view of the surrounding hills as never seen before. Arrive in Thekkady for lunch and after some relaxation visit the town of Kumily to walk around and buy some spices.
In the morning we will enjoy a boat ride in the Periyar lake in the wildlife Sanctuary and then depart for the Alleppey. Evening is free.
Today promises to be a very exciting day as we sail in a sheltered boat on the backwaters and reach the finishing point of the Nehru Boat Race, an annual competition which is biggest sporting event in the state of Kerala. Observe how different age groups compete with each other from different villages and the atmosphere gets exciting with all the cheering and shouting of slogans for the teams. Lunch and drinks would be served on the boat. Stay at pagoda.
After breakfast check out from Hotel Pagoda and proceed to Alleppey railway station or cochin airport.
