Saffron the most priced spice of them all is grown only in Kashmir in India. The delicate flowers are harvested in a short window of 10 - 15 days from the end of October. We will spend an entire day with Saffron from the fields to the kitchen understanding how the world's best saffron is produced in Kashmir.

This tour happens at the end of Autumn and there are still chances to see the Fall Colours.

Booking Procedure

Step 1:  A. Rs. 25,000 + 5% GST per person (Includes Air tickets issuance)

  • Arrival in Srinagar - Local Sights (20kms - 1hours)

    On arrival, we will meet up with our local representative and drive to our homestay in the Deewan bagh area of Srinagar. After check-in and lunch, we will visit the Shalimar Gardens to enjoy the colors of early Autumn. Later we will take the Shikara ride to the Char Chinar Island in the middle of Dal Lake to enjoy the sunset from the lake. Later we will taste some local ‘Tuz’ Kebabs at the barbeque stalls on the Makai Point. Return back to Homestay in the evening for dinner.

  • Srinagar - Saffron Experience Pampore - Yousmarg (60kms - 2hours)

    After breakfast, we will reach the Saffron farm at Pampore, the only saffron growing area in Kashmir to experience everything related to saffron. It starts from the plucking of the lavender flowers to sorting out the strands to enjoying a hearty lunch at a farmer's home. We will drive to Yousmarg via the town of Charar e Sharif, where the dargah of one of the most revered Muslim saints sits in a beautiful construction.

  • Yousmarg - Nilnag Trek (opt) - Local village visit (6kms - 10min.)

    You will enjoy the essence of this beautiful meadow of Jesus as it translates to starting your day with a walk or a horse ride through the deodar forests to reach the nilnag viewpoint. Later you will visit a local village. The evening is free to enjoy the surroundings.

  • Yousmarg - Pehalgam(chandanwari, Bataab valey) - Aru Valley (120kms - 4 to 5 hours)

    After breakfast proceeds to Aru Valley via Pahalgam. On this tour, we avoid crowds and touristy areas, and this is the reason why we would stop in Pehelgam to visit its two most popular excursions mentioned above. Later we will drive parallel to the Lidder river to climb to the picturesque town of Aru in the Aru Valley. The evening is free to enjoy a leisurely hike above the town.

  • Aru - local walks

    The morning would be at leisure where we would visit a tributary of the Lidder river and later enjoy a walk in the Aru village. In the evening those who wish to do a mini hike to the Aru Valley will be guided on a beautiful walk in the lush green meadows amidst the hills.

  • Aru - Martand Sun Temple - Srinagar (Negin Lake - House Boat) (108kms - 3hrs.)

    You will head back to Srinagar first however there will be a stop at the Martand Sun temple. After that on the way lunch in an adjoining Dhaba. Drive to Srinagar and before you check in the houseboat, enjoy some local sights. check-in the houseboat.

  • Srinagar - Home

    After breakfast proceed to the airport to fly back to your respective home cities.

    Note: The plucking of flowers is highly weather dependant, if due to bad weather we aren't able to experience this we will make some alternative arrangements to get you as close as possible to the Saffron in Kashmir experience.
