Arrive in Budapest & Check in to the Hotel. Relax a bit. In the evening by around 1630, hours set out with a map for a map to orient yourself on the Vaci Utca Street. The main shopping street in Budapest and later as the sun is about to set walk to the riverfront to enjoy the view of the Buda Castle in lights. In the evening, enjoy a Dinner Cruise on the Danube viewing this beautiful city by night.
Budapest is divided in to two cities, Buda, which is the Castle District, and Pest, which is the tourist and commercial hub. We will first visit the Castle District and enjoy a view of the city. Then visit the general attractions of the city like Grand Budapest Opera House, Heroes Square.
Note: We normally advise to cover Budapest sightseeing on your own, as it very easy to take up hop-on hop off day tour. Alternatively we can arrange the guided tour of Budapest on day two and a dinner Cruise on Day 1 at an extra cost.
After breakfast, we will proceed to Croatia. As we cross, the border from Hungary to Croatia will visit the beautiful town of Varazdin, the ex-capital of Croatia. After lunch, we keep driving to reach our Hotel, on the way we make a stop at Rastoke for a view of the watermills and water flowing under the houses. In the evening, enjoy a typical Croatian dinner at the Hotel.
After a traditional Croatian breakfast, we will head to the wonder of Croatia, the Plitvice Lakes. This is a national park with walkways that pass through natural lakes and you can enjoy the waterfalls on the way. Continue to drive through the real countryside of Croatia, the Peninsula of Istria. Check in the hotel for dinner.
After Breakfast, we will spend a day travelling the interiors. Taste the truffles (local mushrooms) at a shop while on your walk in Motovun, a mountain town. Then visit the port city of Rovinj an old town contained on an egg shaped island. On a beautiful blue coast of Istria. We will have local lunch and then return to the Hotel for a free evening.
After a leisurely breakfast, we will proceed to Bohinj. On the way, we would have to reenter the Schengen Border in Slovenia where our first stop will be in Postojna Caves. After having 2 – 3 hours to explore the caves and after lunch we will head to Lake Bohinj in the foothills of the Julian Alps, the parallel mountain chain to the Swiss Alps. The evening you have the entire lake for yourself and the only one to share it are the mountains around, which form a perfect impression on its clear blue waters.
In the morning, we will head to the Vogel cable car station to go up the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view of the Lake Bohinj and the surrounding mountains and villages. Later, drive to Lake Bled to enjoy a Gondola ride in the lake and go up to the Church of Assumption in the middle of the lake. Free time will be given for lunch in Bled after which you can enjoy a piece of the famous Bled cake. Drive back to Bohinj in the evening.
After breakfast, we would leave the foothills of Julian Alps and continue our journey to Zagreb. Arrival in Zagreb will be post Lunch and evening will be free for the walking tour of the city.
We will board the flight back to Mumbai.
