After an easy morning, we'll start driving to Valladolid via Tulum, we'll drive along the Caribbean coast and take a stop for lunch & some local sightseeing. Further, continue your journey to Valladolid, a charming colonial town with pastel-colored buildings,16th-century churches, and deep-rooted Maya culture. Overnight stay in Valladolid.
We will explore the town of Valladolid. Yet another charming town with a colonial vibe. Next, visit the mighty Chichen Itza pyramids. Our guide will explain the various facets of the Mayan culture in the times when they ruled the land and built structures like these. Later, we will drive to the yellow city of Izamal. Lunch would be in a very local restaurant. Further, drive to the capital of the Yucatan Peninsula, Merida, for a two-night stay.
Today, we'll explore the beautiful landscape of Yucatan with the Cenotes de Santa Barbara. The ancient Mayan people used the fresh water from these cave ponds of Yucatan, as there is no river here. Each cenote has clear water, and if you wish to swim, it would be a wonderful experience. We will then head back to Mérida for a city tour, known as “ the white city ” which preserves a great architectural legacy.
After an easy morning, we will drive from Mérida to Campeche, a town that appears as if it belongs in the 17th century with well-preserved baroque colonial architecture and a walled historic quarter. We will reach Campeche in the evening and take a walk in its charming old town, including the seafront, which opens up to the Gulf of Mexico.
Begin your day early, as today we will travel deep into the jungle to the ancient Mayan city of Palenque. On arrival in Palenque city, we will explore the archaeological ruins set amidst tropical forest. Overnight stay in Palenque.
After an early breakfast, we'll drive to enjoy the magnificent scenery along the way. Next, we'll stop at the stunning Misol’ha waterfall and the turquoise cascades of Agua Azul. Continue your scenic drive to San Cristóbal de las Casas, a colorful mountain town in Chiapas.
Visit the indigenous village of Chamula and experience its fascinating church where Mayan and Catholic beliefs coexist. Return to San Cristobal for a relaxed evening in its cobbled old town, lined with cafés, markets, and street art. Overnight stay in San Cristóbal de las Casas.
Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast. Head to Cahuare pier, where we will board a boat to navigate the Grijalva River through the imposing Sumidero Canyon. Later, head to Tuxtla Gutierrez for your flight to Mexico City. Check into your hotel in the trendy Roma district for an overnight stay.
Today, we'll discover CDMX’s historic center, starting with Palacio Bellas Artes, the Zócalo, and the Templo Mayor, followed by a visit to the famous Blue House of Frida Kahlo, once home to the legendary artist Frida Kahlo. Later, soak in the culture before a relaxed evening in the city. Overnight stay in Mexico City.
After an early breakfast, we'll check out and head to the airport for our flight to Havana. On arrival, hop into a classic convertible for a scenic tour through the city, including visits to the iconic El Morro Fort and the towering El Cristo Statue. Overnight stay in Havana.
Today, we'll set off for the lush countryside of Viñales, well known for its limestone mogotes and rolling tobacco fields. We'll pass through scenic landscapes en route to its famous tobacco plantations. Explore the charming Viñales township and visit a local tobacco farm to see traditional cultivation methods in action. Savor an organic lunch amidst the countryside, and stop by the Mural de la Prehistoria before returning to Havana in the evening.
Start your day early, as today we'll visit the iconic Partagás Cigar Factory, followed by visits to the Gran Teatro, El Capitolio Museum, and the Havana Rum Museum. Later, we'll head to the airport for our flight back to Delhi.
