Malwa has a rich heritage of various rulers who have ruled over the region and have left their mark on it. Malwa and Magadh, they said, were the two most learned regions of the ancient world. Nimar on the other side is a sub region of Malwa and has the Narmada river flowing through it with the Vindhya and the Satpura mountains on its either side. Enjoy the culture and the geographical variety of this itinerary in this five day tour.

(b) Rs.21,000/- (incl. GST) per person if Railway tickets are booked by Anubhav

(c) Rs.31,500/- (incl. GST) per person if Air tickets are booked by Anubhav

(Additional 5% GST applicable if tickets are issued by Anubhav)

 

Step 2 : Balance payment - one month prior to the departure date

Cancellation Policies

45 days or more before departure, NIL cancellation charges
44 - 30 days before departure, 25% of the tour cost
29 - 15 days before departure, 50% of the tour cost
14 - 06 days before departure, 75% of the tour cost
05 days or less before departure, 100% of the tour cost

  • Arrival in Indore - Ujjain - Indore (Capital of Malwa)

    Arrive at Indore, the capital of Malwa region and the financial hub of Madhya Pradesh. You will be picked up by our tour leader and drive to Ujjain. Here we will first visit the renowned Batik cloth market, followed by lunch and then a visit to the famous Ujjain temple corridor for the Kalbhairav Darshan(based on timing) and then witness the Shipra River Aarti – an enchanting experience more intimate than the Ganga Aarti of Varanasi. In the evening, we will enjoy a local guided street food walk sampling some of Sarafa Bazaar's delicacies, including Bhutte Ka Kees, Jalebo, and Garadu, and end it with a lovely Kulfi. Overnight stay in Indore.

  • Indore - Maheshwar - Jhira Bagh Palace (200 kms)

    After a leisurely breakfast, we will visit some local sights, check out, and head straight to the ancient temple town of Maheshwar on the shores of the Narmada. Visit the Narmada ghat and later a handloom unit to see the intricate art of weaving the famous Maheshwari Saree. Later, we will visit the Ahilya Fort Museum where Ahilyabai Holkar lived in the latter days of her life. After a late lunch, we will head to the Jhira Bagh Palace in Dhar, built by the Pawar dynasty of the Maratha rule and resurrected by the current owners passionately to welcome guests. Overnight stay in Jhira Bagh.

  • Jhira Bagh - Bagh - Jhira Bagh (Nimar Region) 250 km

    Today we start our day by taking a stroll around the palace where we will visit organic farming and dairy farming of the property, and later we will enjoy a leisurely breakfast. In the afternoon, we will proceed to visit the Bagh Caves, a group of nine rock-cut monuments, situated among the southern slopes of the Vindhyas in the Bagh town of Dhar and other nearby sightseeing. Later after tea, head back to Jhira Bagh via the Malwa Ghat. Overnight stay in Jhira Bagh.

  • Jhira Bagh - Mandu - Jhira Bagh (250 Kms)

    After breakfast, we will head to Mandu which rests on a high plateau of the Vindhya Range. Upon Arrival, we experience a local lunch where we can try Dal-bati-Churma. We then have a guided tour of Mandu’s Afghan-style architectural sights including the Jahaz Mahal, Roopmati’s pavilion, and other important buildings. Enjoy a leisurely evening in Jhira Bagh.

  • Jhira Bagh - Indore- Back Home

    After breakfast, we check out and proceed to Indore for our return flight or train back home. The checkout from Jhira Bagh Palace is arranged for flights post noon from Indore airport.
