Arrive at Dabolim by noon and head straight for lunch. Check in then spend the evening
on your own at Fontainhas, Goa's Latin quarter where Portuguese tile-work, coloured
houses, and narrow lanes remind you that Goa was a colony for 451 years, not just a
beach destination. Promenade walk by the Mandovi River after. Overnight at Nanu's
Beach Resort & Spa.
After breakfast, visit Mangeshi Temple and the ancient Tamdi Surla Temple, 12th-century Hemadpanthi architecture deep in the forest, the only surviving pre-Portuguese temple in Goa, which says something about what happened to the others. On the way back, stop at Zila Bakery, established in 1962 and still the most honest bakery in South Goa, famous for eclairs that come out of the oven warm, filled fresh. Afternoon back at the resort, then head to Majorda station to have Poe, Goa's iconic bread with hot tea and Head to Utorda Beach for a relaxed evening by the sea. Overnight at Nanu's Beach Resort & Spa
Morning on the exploring stories of a bygone era where Goa's old Catholic families built
mansions that still hold heirlooms, portraits, and history’s most museums would envy. Afternoon, a guided walk and lunch at the Portuguese House, one of Goa's finest ancestral homes, still lived in, still breathing. Continue to Mangaal Farmstay and spend the evening at a beautiful lakeside spot sipping tea by the stream. No agenda, just the sound of water. Overnight at Mangaal Farmstay.
After breakfast, visit Salaulim Dam, one of Goa's most significant water reservoirs, built across the Salaulim River and surrounded by the Western Ghats in monsoon green. In the rains, the dam is at its most dramatic then the ancient Usgalimal Petroglyphs, 12,000-year-old rock carvings on the banks of the Kushavati River, where Goa's earliest inhabitants left behind figures of animals, humans, and geometric patterns that predate every religion, every dynasty, every postcard. Continue to the serene Quari Lake, then back to Mangaal for a late lunch, fresh from the plantation, honest and wholesome. Plantation walk after. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Mangaal Farmstay.
Leisurely breakfast, checkout, drive to Dabolim Airport. You'll leave with a different
understanding of Goa, not the party version, not the beach brochure version, but the one where years old petroglyphs exist minutes from farm stays, where Portuguese houses are still lived in, and where community lunches taste like someone actually cared what you ate.
