On arrival at Cochin Airport, start driving towards our stay at Kumarakom. Evenings are at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at Kumarakom Lakeside.
After a leisurely breakfast, today we'll drive to the backwaters of Kumarakom. We will have our lunch in a houseboat or on an island. Spend a relaxed evening strolling around
the lake. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, we'll drive into the lush green hills of Thekkady. Our stay will be at
Wildernest Retreat, nestled close to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. On our way, we'll stop by to have lunch at Kuruvinakunnel Tharavadu in Kottayam, a beautifully preserved 400-year-old ancestral house still lived in by its direct descendants, for an authentic Kerala Christian cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients from the estate. We’ll end our day with a Kathakali performance showcasing Kerala’s rich culture and classical art form. Overnight stay at Wildernest Retreat.
After a leisurely breakfast, we will check out. Later, we'll start driving through cardamom
and tea plantations. We will have our lunch on the way before we reach Munnar. Check in to our stay at Windermere Estate, nestled amidst a 60-acre cardamom estate, a charming family-run retreat that dates back to the 1940s. With cozy chalet-style rooms, scenic views of tea gardens, and warm hospitality. Dinner & overnight stay at Windermere Estate.
Today, we'll drive in the hills of Munnar and reach Marayoor, a quaint village surrounded
by sandalwood forest and a river flowing close by, where we'll have traditional vegetarian food of Kerala on a banana leaf, followed by some leisure time at the Mud House. Return to Windermere Estate for dinner and overnight stay.
Post breakfast, we'll drive back to Cochin Airport for departure, on our way we'll stop by for a soulful lunch. Head back home with beautiful memories of Kerala.
