This is as remote and southern as you can get to Antarctica for tourism. The Andes Mountain Range defines the landscape and the winds and waters shape the experiences in Patagonia. The days on the water is an adventure in luxury on Chilean fjords. The days on land take you to the Perito Moreno Glacier in El Calafate and the most stunning national park in the continent, Torres Del Paine.

  • Arrival in Buenos Aires

Arrive late evening and check in to the hotel.

  • Buenos Aires

Today, we'll go for a full-day city tour of the city which will take us around the La Boca neighbourhood with little multi-coloured structures. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

  • Buenos Aires - El Calafate

Board the flight to El Calafate. On arrival, go for a short guided city tour around the old neighbourhood with buildings dating back to the first settlers.

  • El Calafate - Perito Moreno Glacier

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier. The viewing is planned first by boat on the glacial lake and then through the viewing platforms on land. The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the only three Patagonian glaciers that are growing.

  • El Calafate - Puerto Natales

After an early breakfast, check out and drive towards the southwest, and cross the Andes into Chile. We will pass the border, and immigration and enter Chile to keep driving until we reach Puerto Natales on the coast.

  • Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine

In the morning, proceed for a full-day excursion to the breathtaking Torres del Paine National Park. First, visit Lake Sarmiento and Amarga Lagoon and later, enjoy a panoramic vista of the Paine Horns from one of the viewing decks. After lunch, continue to Lake Pehoe and Paine River. There will be a short hike to see the powerful waterfall at Salto Grande. In the evening, return to Puerto Natales for an overnight stay.

  • Puerto Natales - Punta Arenas - Australis Cruise

After breakfast, drive to Punta Arenas in the south, the last city of Chile. You will have time to walk around the area before boarding the Australis Cruise. We will stay on the Australis for 5 days.

  • Australis Cruise - Ainsworth Bay - Tucker Islets

At dawn, the cruise will navigate its way through Almirantazgo Sound, arriving at Ainsworth Bay, which is situated within Alberto De Agostini National Park. It’s the perfect spot to see the exquisite Marinelli Glacier of the Darwin Mountain Range. There’s a good chance we’ll get to see the Southern Elephant Seals.

  • Australis Cruise - Pia Glacier - Glacier Alley

We will pass through the Beagle Channel before disembarking at Pia Fjord. We will hike to a panoramic viewpoint to enjoy the spectacular Pia Glacier whose main tongue extends from the mountaintops down to the sea. We will continue our voyage along the Beagle Channel through the majestic Glacier Alley. Later, we will be sailing to Tucker Islets, and after lunch, we will again board the well-equipped Zodiac boats to get close to a colony of Magellan Penguins (indigenous to the Southern Hemisphere) and Cormorants.

  • Australis Cruise - Cape Horn - Wulaia Bay

We will sail through Murray Channel and Nassau Bay to reach Cape Horn National Park. Here, weather permitting, we shall go ashore. The park was declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2005. In the evening, the night lights of Ushuaia will be visible while sailing.

  • Ushuaia - Buenos Aires

We will dock at Ushuaia and after breakfast, board the flight to Buenos Aires. Check in to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Buenos Aires.

  • Buenos Aires - Mumbai

Depart for Mumbai with amazing memories of the tour.

  • Patagonia is a region south of South America, which is divided by the Andes into Argentina and Chile. The Argentinian side is dry with Steppe like grassland, whereas the Chilean side is green as it receives much of the rains from the pacific.

  • We take our trips in the spring and autumn season. The temperatures on the ground will be between 5 - 10 deg c in the night and unto 18 deg c in the day. The Patagonian winds might add to the wind chill though.

  • There are different hikes that you would be invited to take from the cruise once we land. You can choose these depending on your physical fitness. Otherwise, there is not much walking on the tour.

  • On the Patagonian itinerary, we use the Australis Cruise to sail through the southern fjords of Chile. The cabins are very spacious with large windows next to the bed. They all have attached bathrooms.

  • Ushuaia or the end of the world is a nice city but after having done the cruise, it is kind of a let down we believe to spend time in this dusty town. We only use it to catch a flight from.
