In 2009, we became the first Indian company to take a group to the Arctic. Since then, this journey has remained one of our most cherished experiences. At its heart is the thrill of the Northern Lights hunt—setting out in small groups into the Arctic night, away from towns and city lights, in search of one of nature's most extraordinary phenomena.
But the Arctic leaves you with far more than memories of the night sky. Celebrate Christmas in Rovaniemi and cross the Arctic Circle before journeying deeper into Lapland, where frozen lakes and snow-covered forests define the landscape. Meet the Sami people, encounter reindeer and huskies, and discover life in small communities of the far north. Together, these experiences reveal an Arctic that is quiet, remote and deeply memorable.
Why travel with us?
The Northern Lights are an unpredictable natural phenomenon, Anubhav Vacations spends three nights hunting for them in Tromso and another four nights waiting for them to appear, thus significantly increasing your chance of spotting them.

Board your flight from Mumbai to Delhi. Overnight in Delhi before setting off for the far north and the landscapes of the Arctic.
Arrive in Rovaniemi, the official hometown of Santa Claus and your gateway to the Arctic. Nestled amidst snowy forests in Finnish Lapland, the town welcomes you into a world of long winter nights and permanent festive Christmas charm. The evening is kept easy, allowing you to settle into the rhythm of life in the far north.
Visit Santa Claus Village and physically cross the Arctic Circle, a symbolic milestone in your journey. Later, experience the snowy wilderness on a husky sled ride through forest trails and gain a deeper understanding of Arctic life and culture at the Arktikum Museum
The morning is free to enjoy an optional snowmobile safari across frozen rivers and forests. Later, journey into Sweden through endless snowy landscapes to Kiruna, a remote northern town where life moves at a gentler pace. The evening is yours to wander the quiet streets, browse local shops or simply enjoy the atmosphere of this small Arctic community.
Visit the remarkable Ice Hotel, rebuilt each year entirely from snow and ice, before continuing west through snow-laden forests and mountain passes into Norway. By evening, deep fjords and coastal landscapes replace the inland wilderness, revealing a different Scandinavia. As darkness falls, the northern skies may offer your first glimpse of the aurora.
Enjoy another morning amidst the fjords and islands of northern Norway before continuing to Tromsø, one of the places to witness the Aurora. By night, the focus shifts to the Northern Lights as you set out in small groups, heading away from towns and city lights to locations chosen using real-time weather and aurora information in pursuit of this extraordinary phenomenon.
Discover the vibrant arctic city of Tromsø with a guided city tour. Ride the cable car to Mount Storsteinen for sweeping views before visiting the Polar Museum, where the region's wildlife and exploration history come to life. As darkness returns, another evening brings another opportunity to venture beneath the northern skies.
Drive through picturesque Arctic landscapes to Camp Tamok and enjoy a reindeer sled ride through the snow. Later, visit a Sami camp and share a home-cooked lunch around an open fire in a herder's tent, offering a warm and intimate glimpse into traditions that have shaped life in the far north for centuries. Return to Tromsø for a final evening in the Arctic—and perhaps one last dance of the Northern Lights overhead.
Depart for Mumbai with memories of Santa Claus’ hometown, snow-covered forests, Arctic landscapes, Sami traditions and the unforgettable experience of chasing the Northern Lights across the far north.
